Get Connected
Whether this is your first visit to DCBC or you've been coming for years it's essential, once you've decided this is your church, to get plugged in somewhere. This is especially important in a large church like DCBC, but in any case the Christian life was always designed to be lived within Christian community where there can be nurture, support, encouragement and accountability.

Below you'll find a number of great ways to meaningfully become part of the life of DCBC.
To start with you should attend a morning tea or one of our lunches
Held every week after our Sunday service is free morning tea (good coffee). Then once a month we put on a lunch following the service (cost = gold coin, donation). These events are relaxed, are great places to mix and mingle and an opportunity to be warmly welcomed.
Membership course
This is a great place to start. Designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. Over two evenings we'll introduce you to what's at the heart of DCBC and how you can take the next step to becoming connected and an integral part of building the community of God here. You'll learn about where we are going, our vision and values, the structure of DCBC, how things operate, what it means to be a member and what opportunities there are to grow to spiritual maturity. Find out when the next course is starting.
Hubs
These are medium sized groups hosted in various homes around the city during the week. They are a great way to develop friendships, while exploring issues of faith and life together in relational community.
In our hubs you'll:
- discover a safe community of people who care for one another
- learn more about the wonderful God that we have
- engage with the Bible and what practically applying it requires
- be better equipped to pass on to others the hope that is in Christ Jesus
Find out more about hubs and which might best suit you.
Get involved in DCBC using your skills and talents
Rubbing shoulders with others as you serve alongside them as part of a team, or working with those who share the same passions to your own, is a fantastic way to meet people and develop new friendships. Find out about the many opportunities to get involved here.
