What's on? What time? How do I get there?

Want to explore real life issues in a creative, friendly setting?
Each Sunday we provide a church service on Sunday morning:

Family service at 10:00am, in the Otago Boys' High School Auditorium, 2 Arthur Street.

What to expect when you come.

Friendly and casual services.

Don't worry about what you are wearing. We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with your clothing. So, dress casually and enjoy a creative, thought provoking service.

Speakers give practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. What you learn you'll be able to use during the week.

We don't put pressure on you to publically respond in any way so you can relax about that one! We believe in giving people as much space as they need to explore the relevance of the message about Jesus to their own life situation. Not only that, we ask all our guests NOT to participate in the collection. The collection is for those who are part of the DCBC and want to contribute to its work. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something!

What does DCBC have for my family.

A safe and fun place for your children.

Quality children's programmes run during our morning family service. You can drop your children off before the service starts and then afterwards enjoy some morning tea after you pick them up again. Greeters at the main entrances will happily provide directions.

Baby's Room is a room next door to the Auditorium where the service is held. Parents can make use of this space during the service to nurse or change babies. A video feed means you can still catch everything going on at the front of the auditorium.

Creche is a caring and loving environment for infants and toddlers aged from approx 9 months to 2-3 years old. It's located in a room within easy reach of the main service (and right next door to the Explore service), that is well stocked with toys and a team of parents and grandparents.

Little Orbit is our programme designed specifically for 3, 4 and 5 year olds using stories and crafts to communicate timeless truths from the Bible.

Orbit is for all 6 to 10 year olds. Meeting in the flash school gymnasium and two classrooms, the group's activities include games, crafts, singing and story telling before a time in small groups. Orbit is also for special needs children who are a welcome part of the group.

These programs run from ten minutes before the service starts until the end of the service. Arrive early, drop your children off and enjoy some time to relax in the service before things start.

NBA is Nothing But Action on Sunday mornings for years 7-9 during our family service. Wild and friendly competitions, crazy videos and messages that make sense, group discussions with great leaders and loads of fun with friends. Then on Friday evenings 7-9pm NBA meet for sports nights, dessert and videos, crazy games... you get the picture. Both are a great place for young people to connect. Contact the DCBC centre 477.2150 for more info.

We also offer week-night programmes geared specifically for teens and young adults:

Youth Group

Imagine sitting with your feet up, quiet background music, crochet, knitting, scones on the table... Well that's definitely not a night at Youth Group. Try crazy games and competitions, in your face truth, live music (did I say loud!)... and yeah, health food (if you call chips, coke and cake healthy). Youth Group is on Wednesday evenings and the place to be if you're year 10 -13. Click here for more info or contact the DCBC centre 477.2150 (and ask for Mike).
