Meet Mike Bagge
What you do at DCBC?
I lead the Young Adults group. My role is to encourage and challenge young people to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and grow as his disciples. This means I get to spend a lot of time talking to young adults about Christ and their faith online and in-person and then seeking God's wisdom about the same topics. I probably spend more time on Facebook than any other team member. I also lead the Welcome area and the team that run the Inter-generational services
Tell us about your family life
At home there is my wife Susan; three kids: Nathan, Scarlet and Hazel; and our big black dog Loony. Susan is a GP and a partner at her practice in South Dunedin. Susan and I have been involved, one way or another, with young adult leadership since the end of 2006.
What do you do with your spare time?
When I am not spending time with my family I love to roam around the hills of Dunedin with Loony (sometimes the rest of the family comes too).
What did you do before coming on staff at DCBC?
I had completed my PhD at the School of Pharmacy and was working there doing research and some teaching.
